Minutes: Minutes were approved by Kathleen and seconded by Peggy.

Treasurers Report: Currently there is $4,179.69 in checking, $16,804.56 in savings and $512.97 plus $5.00 in Selco.

Community Garden: Don will be planting beans at the CG from packets that were given to him. Since it is not convenient for anyone to pick every couple of days when they are ready, it has been decided to use them for shell type beans.

Don and Steve will begin work on the platform within a week or two.

Don suggested we purchase a one gallon gas can for the mower. If someone has one to donate, all the better.

Taking Root: Next column will focus on interplanting in the home vegetable garden as well as companion planting

Thursday Market: The SBM committee has asked to borrow a market canopy we use at the market for July 21. We decided that moving the canopy again would be too much stress on the poles.

We discussed “I Love Farmer’s Markets “ stickers idea that Gini received in an email from the Farmer’s Market Coalition. They are $25 for a pack of 200. Gini will be ordering the stickers for the market.

Kathleen suggested having more posters/banners made for the market kicking off the “Marketplace.” Gini is to inform the board when the veggie season gets underway so the posters/banners will be available. A new banner will be ordered for the pavilion, one for Old Yeller and one the size of the market banners. Don also proposed a paint job for the door panels of Old Yeller. The board liked the idea since the truck is parked on Main and Kirk sts. during market days.

Munch Night: is Friday June 23 at at 7pm at Randy’s Main St. Coffee. Speaker(s) will be from the Calapooia Watershed. Menu is a Potato Bar with all the trimmings, salad and ice cream with berries for dessert.
